Jenn Summe

Jenn Summe is a General Partner at Primordial Ventures, an early-stage fund she co-founded in 2023 with Bronto founder Joe Colopy to back pre-seed tech startups across North Carolina's Triangle. Jenn describes herself as a startup junkie who loves connecting people and helping ideas grow into real businesses, and her path there was anything but traditional: she started in digital marketing, operated inside several Triangle startups (including a stint as COO of an edtech company), and earned her MBA from Duke's Fuqua School of Business while pregnant.

Jenn co-hosts In The Soup, a weekly podcast for early-stage founders, and serves as Secretary on the board of GrepBeat, the nonprofit covering North Carolina's startup scene. Jenn is also a founding member of LiLa (Ladies Investing / Local Angels), a community built to widen women's access to angel investing and venture capital.
