Meet Your Hosts: Galen Robertson and Sonna Patel-Raman
Galen Robertson brings extensive executive and product development experience across the medical device industry, with a talent for turning ideas into commercially successful products. Galen is currently CEO and cofounder of VQ Biomedical and previously grew 410 Medical from the ground up as its first employee, taking it from pre-seed funding through the commercialization of multiple products, with a career spanning organizations of every scale, from Johnson & Johnson to startups at various stages of growth. As a CED Board Member, Galen is deeply committed to strengthening the Triangle's MedTech community and building a stronger, more connected ecosystem for medical technology in the region
Sonna Patel-Raman is a respected leader in the medical device industry, with deep expertise in product development, clinical trial execution, and reimbursement, particularly in the cardiovascular space.
Over the course of her career, Sonna has held executive roles in government and industry including at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration giving her a rare perspective that bridges regulatory insight and product commercialization. Sonna has guided teams through complex milestones in the product development lifecycle, from early research through FDA-approved clinical trials resulting in revenue generation during clinical trial execution. Alongside Galen, Sonna is focused on building a stronger, more connected MedTech community across the Triangle.
