Dave is a biotech entrepreneur, scientist, and investor with more than 15 years of experience building and advising life sciences companies in North Carolina’s Research Triangle. He co-founded Locus Biosciences and previously served as its Chief Scientific Officer, helping build a company that has raised over $150 million.

At Cape Fear BioCapital, he focuses on early-stage therapeutics companies in North Carolina. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, where his research focused on gene editing.
